How Nodes of Moon Function?

On 18th of August 2017, the nodes of moon – Rahu and Ketu transited into Cancer, Capricorn axis. Unlike other planets, the nodes influence the zodiac sign they just evacuated. So, while Rahu is in Ashresha Nakshatra in Cancer ruled by the Serpent King, Rahu still has an influence on Magha in Leo.

Magha, Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni are in Leo. These three Nakshatras are the ones now being liberated by the Serpent king. These three Nakshatra are where the soul feels the desire to rest having done extremely hard work in previous Nakshatra’s. These three – Magha, Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni are considered the Royal and Loyal nakshatras.

This is exactly why one observes end to terrorism funding the world over. We in India will slowly witness the end to backdoor financing in Kashmir and elsewhere. These rogue elements will face the music. Likewise the ISIS is facing the music elsewhere.

This also means that the US too face the music and be accountable for mischief done all over the globe. It is tough to bring a bully to its knees, but, for sure this will happen while Rahu transits thru Ashresha Nakshatra!!

If you are thinking about starting a business, getting married, approaching your boss for a promotion, or proposing to your girlfriend, then an eclipse is not the time to do it. On the other hand, if you are thinking about going camping, going on a retreat, starting psychotherapy, ending a relationship, quitting a job, cleaning house, or just spending some quiet time, then an eclipse can be a good time to start.

In the decision making process eclipses come in handy as well. If, for example, you find your dream house, or someone makes you a job offer at the time of an eclipse, it is generally a good idea to leave it. Things which you are presented with at this time are usually either short-lived or develop unforeseen problems later. If the thing that you are deciding is of an introspective or spiritual nature, however, then the eclipse might indicate a positive outcome.

The Nakshatra in which an eclipse falls will also give a clue to its effect on both nations and individuals. Generally, the nakshatra and whatever it symbolizes will be spoiled for the next six months after the eclipse. For this reason various remedial measures have been prescribed by the ancient Vedic Rishis in order to counteract the effect of an eclipse in each nakshatra. In India, it is common for people to fast for 10 hours before an eclipse and then perform a havan (fire ritual) in the middle of the eclipse. In the west, where Vedic pundits are more scarce, the recommended activity during an eclipse is meditation, or possibly the chanting of an appropriate mantra for the Nakshatra in which the eclipse is occurring. The great American Eclipse was in the Nakshatra of Magha and it signifies rulers, kings, prominent people and the like.

Recently, in India we had a fake Godman arrested, what followed next was nothing short of a revolt by his followers. They resorted to destroying and burning every possible vehicle, looting, and arson. The Eclipse was in America, but, the effects are worldwide. Check news here and here

As explained in previous post, Mars, the malefic planet responsible for tragedies, fire, destruction activates the Nakshatra where eclipse took shape – Magha. Mars is in Magha right now and has a 4 degree orb of influence.

These troubles are minor in nature (though to many it may be disastrous) – what follows during May 2018 will be a disaster of monumental proportions. Will be detailing it in another post later.

This will be in the Satabhisha -> Magha Nakshatra Axis, which means Governments will witness slander, disrespect, failing policies, and shaming (already triggered by Feb 11 Lunar Eclipse).

As you can observe maximum planets are in malefic Nakshatra’s except Venus and Mars. Some tough decisions on finance are in the pipeline for India – this will gain momentum or implemented by force when Saturn goes retrograde and transits into Scorpio April 6, 2017

Those with health issues like yours truly should take care with medication. Sleep maybe affected. Do please practice Pranayam or any yoga that you are already following. If you are not in yoga or pranayam (breathing exercises) as yet, visit some of the youtube videos for a quick demo. Practice if you will on a daily basis.

Tip: Stop listening to rumor mongering on social media, print or tv. This is the best way to detoxify the mind.

Venus is exalted and with Mars, both Venus and Mars are in the Nakshatra whose lord is Mercury. Trade and contracts related to women will be the center stage. Sadly Venus is in the 8th house in Navamsa – Sagittarius. Mercury in Rahu’s Nakshatra – trade deals overseas is the key, but, some of these will be dubious in nature.

September in 2016 will witness two eclipses. A Solar Eclipse is scheduled on 1^st September 2016 which begins at 11:43 IST (Thursday) and ends at 17:30 IST. Time for other countries will wary, please visit this link for accurate information. This solar eclipse will not be visible in India. It starts at the Western tip of Africa and ends down South in the Indian Ocean. The shadow narrowly misses Sri Lanka.

Please note that all dates and timings appearing are based on Mumbai, India. Calculation of Day is once again Vedic Day which is from one Sunrise to next Sunrise. Cardinal Directions mentioned are based on a secret treatise based on Rahu.

Sun will be in Purva Phalguni Nakshatra (1^st quarter or pad) and Moon will be in Purva Phalguni once again in the 1^st quarter. When eclipse ends, Moon will have traversed over to Purva Phalguni 2^nd quarter. Here is little info on Purva Phalguni shared in the Nakshatra section elsewhere on this blog:

Purva Phalguni is represented in the night sky by two bright stars in the back of the constellation of Leo. These stars can be seen forming a part of the lion shape usually associated with the constellation Leo. However ancient Vedic seers saw these two stars as representing the back legs of a cot (or the two poles of a swinging hammock). These stars are known in modern astronomy as Delta-Leonis (Zosma) and Theta-Leonis (Chertan). With a visual magnitude of 2.56, Zosma is the brighter one among them. It is very easy to locate these stars in the night sky as Leo is the brightest among the twelve zodiacal constellations. These stars are located to the left of the bright star Regulus where the hind legs of the lion figure of Leo are supposed to be. Zosma lies on top of Chertan.

Solar Eclipse in Purva Phalguni: Historically speaking a Solar Eclipse occurred in Purva Phalguni when Late Princess Diana died in a horrific accident that we all know. The date of Solar Eclipse in 1997 was September 2, 1997 (Monday) and this was a Partial Solar Eclipse. Late Princess Diana died a few days earlier, that is on August 31, 1997 (Saturday).

Princess Diana’s death: The day when she died, Moon was transiting thru Ashresha Nakshatra 2^nd quarter – one of the Gandanta Nakshatras and well known for unleashing its serpent like fangs and troubles when opportunity arises. Moon was transiting thru Ashresha August 30, 1997 @ 18:40 hrs (Saturday – Cardinal direction South) to August 31, 1997 @ 21:26 (Sunday – Cardinal Direction NE). September 2, 1997 Solar Eclipse began around 3:14 (Monday) and ended on September 2, 1997 @ 7:53 (Tuesday) – a few days later. It is well documented that Eclipse’s results are known to materialize few days earlier or later.

Lunar Eclipse: A total Lunar Eclipse occurred on 16/17 September 1997.

Transition between a Watery Sign and Fire Sign:

In any case when Moon transits from Cancer (a Watery sign) over to Leo (a Fire Sign) – matters are not so sweet. Ashresha Nakshatra lies at the end of Cancer Zodiac and Magha is at the beginning of Leo Zodiac. This is where Water and Fire meet so to speak. Purva Phalguni is right after Magha. The destructive forces may not be apparent otherwise, but these are unleashed during an Eclipse – more so during a Solar Eclipse.

2016

Solar Eclipse: Rahu will be eclipsing Sun, and Rahu is known to have a half serpent body. An explosive combination definitely. A Solar Eclipse is scheduled on 1^st September 2016 which begins at 11:43 IST (Thursday) and ends at 17:30 IST (Thursday).

Moon begins it transit thru Ashresha Nakshatra on August 30, 2016 @ 9:12:30 (Tuesday – Cardinal direction East) and exits on August 31, 2016 @ 9:48:33 (Wednesday – Cardinal direction South).

So, do we expect to see trouble and tragedies? May God help us, but, the chances are quite ripe. When is it likely going to happen? I have already mentioned the date and time when Moon transits thru Ashresha, chances are ripe within this time frame.

Lunar Eclipse: A Penumberal Lunar Eclipse is scheduled on 16/17 September, 2016. This lunar eclipse starts on September 16, 2016 @ 22:24:42 IST and ends September 17, 2016 @ 2:23:59 IST. More about this later.
